Review the cable test results first, then diagnose by clicking on the appropriate PC, server, and Layer 2 switch.

Identify any components with a problem and recommend a solution to correct each problem.

If at any time you would like to bring back the initial state of the simulation, please dick the Reset All button.

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

What’s the solution for pc5?

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

I don't have idea too whats the solution for PC5  maybe replace cable?

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

Also, the cable that is "short" should be counted as OPEN not a short

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

This one was on my exam again yesterday 4/23/24 and I passed thanks to all the contributors here. I followed what people said about replacing the cable on pc 5 too.

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

I passed my exam on 26/03/2024.
I can confirm that this simulation still applies, and my exam had 5 simulations in total.

For this simulation, everything was word for word, with no changes in values, wording, etc.

@Shelbyy answer can be used, but for the PC5, I used "replace cable" as the solution.

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

Server1 - no problem
PC1 - no problem
PC2 - open cable detected/replace cable
PC3 - no problem
PC4 - wrong vlan/change vlan assignment
PC5 - connector on backward/replace cable (no other solution seems valid here)
PC6 - no problem

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

I think PC5 is crossover cable. Because it's to connect computers directly. It may be connected to PC4.

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

server1 - no problem
PC 1- No problem
pc2- open cable detected - replace cable
pc 3 - no problem
pc4 wrong VLAN - Chang vlan assignment
pc5 - connector on backward - change cable
pc6 - No problem

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

please dick the reset all button LMAO

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

is the cable too long if it is 90m?

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

https://support.8x8.com/devices-accessories/network-devices/SoHo_Networking_Design_Best_Practices according to this I'm assuming anything over 100m

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

no 100 M is the max length

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

PC5 is using a Rollover cable but thats not an option.

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

When it comes to cross over, remember that it is not 568A one side and 568B other side. There is also cross of blue and brown pairs. I mean if it is a different question.

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

Just passed the exam. This was on it. In the actual exam, there is no solution appropriate for PC5 either.

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

I just passed as well an choose the solution to replace cable on pc5

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

Yeah I think that is the only reasonable solution considering you must pick one. Replace the cable with one that doesn't have faulty connectors.

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

HI, did u choose community answers most of the time as i found examtopic intentionally put wrong answers for most of the questions.

Re: N10-008 topic 1 question 461

PC4 has incorrect VLAN as well. Needs to be on VLAN 10
